Canada Election 2006 Jan. 17: Tories take an 18 point lead over the Liberals

andrewcoyne.com/Globe and Mail/Strategic Counsel/CTV:
"New poll numbers from the Strategic Counsel Tuesday that give the Conservatives 42 per cent support among decided voters -- compared to 24 per cent for the Liberals ..."

Stunning. Simply, stunning. Full regional numbers will be out by CTV in a few hours.

Nonsense.

Other polls show Libs leading in Onario and doing well in Atlantic.

Harper's boost in Quebec is thin and unlikely to offset Liberal gains in Ontario where the winning margin in many seats was less than 5% last election.

The tide is starting to move against Harper and his rightwingers ...

Libs leading in Ontario? Which poll is that?

Harper's boost in Quebec is thin? Well...it may be. But he is breaching the point where he can pick up a good deal of seats. Harper is at 38% outside of Montreal in Quebec. don't discount him.
